CRISTIANO RONALDO would rather see Real Madrid sign Robert Lewandowski than Harry Kane this summer, according to reports.
The Spanish giants are set for a squad overhaul this summer following a dismal campaign that’s left them 14 points adrift of Barcelona in La Liga.
And that means there will be host of high profile departures, with the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema set for the chop.
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been lined up to take Bale’s place in Real’s forward line.
Kane and Lewandowski, meanwhile, have been heavily touted as targets to come in for the departing Benzema.
The latest reports from Spain suggest Cristiano Ronaldo would sooner see Real land Lewandowski than Kane though.
Cristiano Ronaldo believes Kane would be keen to be the main man if he moved to Real from Tottenham.
And he’s opposed to a deal because he does not want his supremacy to be challenged.
Cristiano Ronaldo has therefore suggested Florentino Perez signs Lewandowski from Bayern Munich instead.
Lewandowski is said to idolise Cristiano Ronaldo and would supposedly be happy to play alongside him, rather than replace him.
Perez’s priority is to get Kane on-board off the back of his scintillating form in the Premier League.
But he could apparently turn his attention to Lewandowski if Tottenham are unwilling to negotiate.
Real would look to include James Rodriguez in a deal for Lewandowski, who Bayern value at a whopping £133m (€150m).
